Privacy Policy
InkTry App (the “App”)
Last Updated: December 13, 2025
Thank you for using InkTry (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the App, including AI-powered tattoo image generation and the on-device “Try On” feature.
- Try On is on-device: photos used for Try On are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded by us.
- AI generation uses third parties: text prompts and generation parameters are sent to external AI services (via AiProxy and fal.ai).
- Purchases: subscription/receipt data is handled via Adapty (and the app store platform).
- Analytics: we use Amplitude to understand UI interactions and improve the App (not to identify you personally).
1. Who We Are (Data Controller)
This App is provided by an individual developer (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Contact details are provided in Section 12.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Identifiers and Account-Related Information
- App User Identifier: we may assign a pseudonymous identifier (e.g., a random ID) to keep the App functional, support subscriptions, prevent abuse, and maintain continuity across sessions.
- Device and app identifiers: we may collect device model, OS version, app version, language/region, and technical identifiers necessary for analytics and service integrity.
2.2 Subscription and Purchase Information (Adapty)
If you purchase an auto-renewing subscription or other in-app purchases, we (and/or our purchase provider) process information needed to validate purchases and manage entitlements. This may include:
- subscription status (active/expired), product identifiers, and entitlement flags;
- purchase/transaction identifiers and receipt validation results;
- country/region (derived from the store) and storefront information.
Payment card details are not provided to us. Payments are processed by the relevant app store/platform, and purchase infrastructure is supported via Adapty.
2.3 Analytics and Product Improvement (Amplitude)
We use Amplitude to understand how users interact with the App (for example, which screens are opened, what buttons are tapped, and how often features are used). This data helps us improve usability, performance, and reliability. We aim to keep analytics pseudonymous and focused on product usage. We do not intentionally send your photo content used in Try On to analytics.
2.4 AI Tattoo Image Generation Data
When you generate a tattoo image, the App processes:
- Text prompts you type (and optional negative prompts if applicable);
- Style selections and other generation parameters (e.g., aspect ratio, size, guidance/quality parameters, seed if used);
- Request metadata necessary to operate the generation (e.g., timestamps, error logs, rate-limit counters).
How generation requests are processed: the App sends prompts and generation parameters to AI providers via:
Your generation request may be executed using third-party models, including Google-provided image generation models made available through fal.ai or its partners. We do not operate or own the underlying AI models.
2.5 “Try On” Feature (On-Device Processing)
The App’s “Try On” feature overlays a generated tattoo on top of a photo or live camera view using on-device rendering and gestures. Photos used for Try On are processed locally on your device and are not sent to our servers.
- If you choose a photo from your library or take a photo, the App uses it only to render the overlay on your device.
- Any saved “Try On” results (if you choose to save/export) are stored in your device storage and are controlled by you.
2.6 User-Generated Content Stored in the App
The App may store the following on your device to provide features like history and quick access:
- Generated images (tattoo outputs)
- Generation history (e.g., prompt text, style, date/time, and settings)
- Saved prompts (if the App provides a prompt library)
Unless you explicitly use a cloud sync feature provided by your platform (e.g., iCloud/device backups), this content is stored locally.
2.7 Log and Security Data
Like most online services, requests to AI services may involve standard log data such as IP address, request timestamps, device/app versions, and error diagnostics. This data may be processed by our service providers (AiProxy / fal.ai) to operate the service, mitigate abuse, and debug issues.
3. How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- Provide core functionality: generate tattoo images, show history, and enable Try On overlays.
- Process subscriptions: verify purchases and enable premium features via Adapty/platform receipts.
- App improvement: analyze feature usage (Amplitude) to improve UX and stability.
- Security and abuse prevention: detect fraud/abuse and protect API usage (AiProxy / fal.ai).
- Customer support: respond to user requests and troubleshoot issues.
4. Legal Bases (EEA/UK and Similar Jurisdictions)
Where required by law (e.g., GDPR), we process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract necessity: to provide the App and requested features (e.g., generating images, subscription access).
- Legitimate interests: to improve the App, maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug problems.
- Consent: where required (e.g., certain analytics controls), which you may withdraw as described below.
- Legal obligations: to comply with applicable laws and enforce our rights.
5. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
5.1 Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to operate the App. Depending on your usage, information may be shared with:
- Adapty (subscriptions/entitlements): Privacy Policy
- Amplitude (analytics): Privacy Notice
- AiProxy (secure proxy/abuse prevention): Privacy Policy
- fal.ai (AI model execution/aggregation): Privacy Policy
5.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, prevent fraud, or comply with legal processes.
5.3 Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice where legally required.
6. AI Generation, Content Rules, and Disclaimers
6.1 AI Outputs and Quality
AI-generated images may be imperfect, inconsistent, or not match your prompt exactly. Outputs are provided “as is” for creative purposes.
6.2 Content Restrictions
The App may implement automated moderation and filtering aligned with provider policies and applicable laws. Prompts or requests that are illegal, harmful, explicit, or otherwise prohibited may be blocked or rejected.
6.3 No Training Claims
We do not train our own proprietary image models because the App does not operate its own model. Third-party providers may have their own data handling practices; please review their policies linked above.
7. Data Storage and Retention
7.1 On-Device Storage
Generated images and generation history are primarily stored locally on your device to provide in-app history and library features. You can delete this data from within the App (if available) and/or by removing the App from your device.
7.2 Provider Retention
AI generation requests are processed by AiProxy and fal.ai (and potentially upstream model providers). Those services may retain certain logs and operational data for security, debugging, billing, or compliance under their own policies. We do not control their retention schedules.
7.3 Analytics Retention
Analytics data is retained according to our configuration and Amplitude’s policies and is used to improve the App.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Your Choices and Rights
9.1 Managing Your Content
- You can delete generated images and generation history within the App (if the feature exists) and/or by deleting the App.
- You control saving/exporting images to Photos and sharing them via your device features.
9.2 Analytics Controls
You may be able to limit or disable certain analytics through in-app settings (if provided) and/or your device privacy settings.
9.3 Subscription Controls
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your app store account settings. Uninstalling the App does not automatically cancel subscriptions.
9.4 Privacy Rights (GDPR/Similar Laws)
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, or to object to processing. You may also have the right to data portability. To exercise rights, contact us (Section 12).
10. International Data Transfers
Our service providers may process data on servers located in different countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect information during international transfers.
11. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, or provider practices. We will post the updated policy in the App and/or on our website with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
